Join Latinos A Morir in an effort to help reduce the achievement gap in underrepresented groups. LAM is in the process of starting a non-profit organization (name is in the works) that will help tackle this very problem. Our very own LAM member, Laura Brady Ph.D, will be the director of this new organization.

The goal is to create a non-profit where every member is involved, yes, that means you! The first program that we’re working on is in helping Puente by providing mentors (since we have amazing successful members). If you would like to be a mentor, please fill this form out.

The funds collected at this fundraiser will be used to:

- pay for legal, state, and federal fees to incorporate a non-profit
- create the mentorship program
- pay for background checks for our mentors [by law we need background checks]
- create a career day to offer high schools

Of course that we will be maintain our costs as low as possible and utilize the extra funds to help create other programs including scholarships, career day, etc [the sky is the limit!]. We have already received pro-bono aid from three LAM members in legal and financial services (and many others have offered their legal services!).
